BYD Debuts with Two Brands at the 47th Bangkok International Motor Show

On March 23 local time, the 47th Bangkok International Motor Show officially opened, with BYD making a blockbuster dual-brand debut featuring both its mainstream brand and its new luxury marque, Denza. Not only did BYD simultaneously unveil four all-new NEV models in the Thai market for the first time, but it also drew center stage at the show with an oversized exhibit and a full product lineup, underscoring its formidable strength and strong brand influence in Thailand’s NEV market.
This year, BYD’s exhibition booth spans 2,835 square meters, making it the largest single-brand exhibit at the show. The booth showcases more than 40 new-energy vehicles, comprehensively addressing a wide range of consumer needs and usage scenarios. Liu Xueliang, General Manager of BYD Asia-Pacific Automotive Sales Division, Ke Yubin, General Manager of BYD Auto (Thailand) Co., Ltd., and other distinguished guests attended the event to jointly witness this significant milestone.

The four new models unveiled simultaneously this time cover mainstream segments such as hatchbacks, SUVs, and sedans, further enhancing BYD’s product lineup in the Thai market—from entry-level to mainstream segments. Among them, the Seagull is designed for agile daily commuting; the Yuan UP targets the younger, all-electric SUV segment; the Seal 06 emphasizes a balanced combination of performance and comfort; and the Sea Lion 05 DM-i leverages DM-i Super Hybrid technology to strike an optimal balance between low energy consumption and long range. Liu Xueliang, General Manager of BYD’s Asia-Pacific Automotive Sales Division, stated that the simultaneous launch of four brand-new models at this auto show marks a significant milestone in BYD’s development in Thailand. Backed by core technologies such as Blade Battery and DM-i Super Hybrid, BYD continues to meet customer needs through technological innovation, delivering a higher-quality new-energy mobility experience to Thai consumers.

At this auto show, BYD and Denza made a joint appearance, showcasing a diversified product lineup that spans both the mass-market and premium segments. The addition of Denza further strengthens BYD’s product capabilities and brand positioning in the high-end new-energy vehicle segment. Through the synergistic development of its dual brands, BYD continues to meet the diverse needs of different consumer groups, accelerating the adoption of new-energy mobility in the Thai market. In the “2026 Thailand Car of the Year” awards, a total of eight BYD and Denza models were honored, covering multiple segments including pure electric and plug-in hybrid vehicles, thereby fully demonstrating the comprehensive strength of their products in terms of technology, performance, and market performance.

As BYD continues to expand its product lineup and refine its brand strategy, the company’s brand influence and market recognition in Thailand have been steadily growing. Looking ahead, BYD will remain driven by technological innovation and product upgrades, further diversifying its portfolio of new-energy vehicles in the Thai market to offer local consumers a broader range of reliable mobility options, while also supporting the high-quality, green, and low-carbon transformation of Thailand’s automotive industry.
