Dongfeng Motor's latest power battery system has successfully passed real-vehicle testing.
Dongfeng Motor Corporation (Dongfeng Motor Corporation) announced today that its power battery system, developed by its technical center, has achieved a breakthrough. Based on a vehicle under development on Dongfeng's new energy strategic platform, Dongfeng's latest power battery system has passed field testing and demonstrated a range exceeding 1,000 km.
IT Home has learned that Dongfeng Motor stated that this power battery system, developed based on its own high-efficiency battery cell technology, boasts an energy density exceeding 230Wh/kg. Tests on prototype vehicles have shown that this power battery system has a CLTC range exceeding 1,000km.
According to reports, this power battery system utilizes an intelligent, all-weather battery safety management system capable of millisecond-level response rates. High-precision state-of-charge (SOX) estimation and lithium dendrite self-healing technology significantly enhance the system's service life, human-machine interaction experience, and range calculation accuracy. Furthermore, the power battery system utilizes a high-strength aluminum alloy frame, achieving a first-order mode frequency of over 60Hz.
Dongfeng Motor noted that this power battery system also incorporates a fire extinguishing system for rapid fire extinguishing. A sprinkler fire extinguishing pipe is located above the module and integrated with the module. Part of the pipe is constructed from a special material that, upon melting at high temperatures, triggers the spraying of a hexafluoroperfluoroketone gas-liquid dual-phase fire extinguishing solvent, rapidly extinguishing the fire.
