According to official announcements from BMW Group, BMW Group officially announced the acquisition of the ALPINA brand on March 10, 2022. The two parties have reached a relevant agreement, making ALPINA a full-fledged brand under the BMW Group.
For years, Alpina has been renowned in the automotive world as a brand specializing in high-performance BMW modifications. However, the truth is that Alpina has been officially recognized by Germany’s Federal Ministry of Transport and Digital Infrastructure as a car manufacturer since 1983. Moreover, Alpina vehicles have long been integrated into BMW’s production lines, marking a collaboration with BMW that now spans an impressive 57 years.
BMW Group CEO Noda stated: "For over 50 years, Alpina has demonstrated how meticulous attention to detail can deliver automotive excellence of the highest caliber.
