According to foreign media reports, on May 25 local time, APCOA PARKING, Europe's leading parking technology operator, announced a strategic technology and business collaboration plan with HERE Technologies, a leading location data and technology platform.
Both companies plan to develop digital parking services and high-precision indoor parking facility maps in Europe, with the aim of commercializing both the services and the maps. APCOA FLOW is the umbrella brand and underlying open digital platform that connects all of APCOA’s digital parking and mobility services. In this collaboration, HERE will serve as the technology integrator, delivering a truly end-to-end, location-data-rich user experience throughout the driver’s entire journey. Users will primarily interact with in-vehicle infotainment systems, mobile apps, and websites. Initially, the two companies will leverage HERE’s location data and services to enhance APCOA’s nearly 10,000 sites across 13 European countries. Building on this foundation, their goal is to co-develop a unified parking solution tailored for automakers, mobility service providers, and smart cities—eventually expanding their target audience to include fleet operators, intelligent logistics companies, and Tier 1 suppliers. The two firms plan to offer and commercialize this solution through the HERE Marketplace.
Additionally, the two companies also aim to launch a joint initiative to create high-precision 3D maps of indoor parking facilities across Europe, paving the way for innovative services such as automated parking and advanced parking-space reservation systems.
