IT Home, January 6: According to CCTV News, the Beijing High-Level Automated Driving Demonstration Zone Office has issued a notice authorizing pilot-level, driverless-vehicle remote road tests in the demonstration area. Twenty vehicles equipped with "no driver inside, remote control outside" systems have been approved to conduct phased road tests on designated routes within the 20-square-kilometer Economic Development Zone, during specific time periods. This marks the official transition of automated driving road testing in Beijing to the fully driverless vehicle stage.
It was introduced that Beijing's High-Level Automated Driving Demonstration Zone opened unmanned road tests in October 2021.
