Highlights from the 3rd Changsha Longfeng Automotive Parts Industrial Park Firefighting Skills Competition

To mobilize and deploy the fire protection-focused rectification program within the "Three-Year National Plan for Special Rectification of Work Safety" and to further study General Secretary Xi Jinping's important safety speech on "fundamentally eliminating potential safety hazards," the SAIC Changsha Regional Party and Mass Joint Platform held a fire protection skills competition at the Longfeng Auto Parts Industrial Park.

The event was hosted by SAIC Volkswagen Changsha Factory Logistics, organized by Hunan Huizhong Automotive Chassis Systems Co., Ltd., and co-organized by Shanghai ADT Facilities Management Co., Ltd. Changsha Branch. The event aimed to further enhance the park's joint emergency response capabilities, improve employee safety awareness and fire protection skills, and safeguard the lives and property of employees. Secretary Hong of SAIC Volkswagen Changsha Branch, along with leaders from the organizer, organizer, co-organizer, and various companies in the Longfeng Auto Parts Industrial Park, attended and observed the competition.

This competition will be held in a relay format. In addition to the traditional events—such as tire dragging, relay firefighting, and fire hydrant target practice—there’s now a new event: sandbag carrying. Fifteen organizations from the park will participate.
As the members of the public fire brigade (judges) announced the start of the competition, each participating team promptly dispatched their strongest firefighters, tackling the challenge with the fastest pace, most effective techniques, and timely firefighting efforts—resulting in a thrilling and dynamic competition. Competing teams raced against the clock, showcasing their full strength and determination while fiercely battling it out. Under the careful assurance of safety, they successfully completed every event with remarkable spirit and teamwork.

Secretary Hong from SAIC Volkswagen Changsha Factory delivered the final remarks for this competition. Secretary Hong expressed his hope that all companies would take full advantage of this event to thoroughly implement measures aimed at fundamentally eliminating potential safety hazards, drawing valuable lessons from the major fire incident at a packaging company in Xingsha last March. He urged everyone to conduct comprehensive inspections of electrical equipment across their facilities, effectively preventing fire accidents from occurring within the industrial park. At the same time, he encouraged enterprises in the park to enhance communication and mutual learning, jointly boosting their emergency management capabilities. Finally, leaders from each company and the participating contestants posed for a commemorative group photo.
Through this firefighting skills competition, all employees of the Changsha Longfeng Automotive Components Industrial Park project team have realized the importance of conducting thorough on-site inspections of production areas, comprehensively identifying potential hazards, and proactively eliminating fire risks and accidents within the park. Moving forward, we will approach fire safety management with even greater rigor and vigilance, striving to enhance the project team's emergency response capabilities. We’ll also strengthen safety education and training programs, ensuring that fire safety management becomes a regular, well-established part of our operations. By doing so, we will continue to contribute to the park’s robust fire safety framework, delivering high-quality security services to both property owners and businesses operating within the园区.
