——20th Annual Company PDCS Technology Exchange Meeting & Tianjin Innovation Lab Inauguration Ceremony
Despite a difficult start to 2020, it hasn't slowed our pace of technological innovation. In September, ADT and FAW-Volkswagen Tianjin Plant partnered to share resources, ushering in the era of big data in the paint shop. China's first PDCS Innovation Lab was established in the paint shop of FAW-Volkswagen Tianjin Plant. On the afternoon of September 15th, General Manager Tian Hong, along with Marketing Director Chen Ye, Technology Director Li Min, Tianjin Plant Vehicle Manufacturing Department Director Liu Dong, and Paint Shop Manager Zhao Chensi, attended the lab's unveiling ceremony.
This event coincided with the 2020 PDCS Exchange Conference. Taking advantage of the lab's grand opening, we provided senior-level PDCS teams (offline PDCS) from various company divisions with insights into the company's future technological direction, while also assigning them tasks to enhance their respective business capabilities. Additionally, we established a platform for these teams to share resources, and equipped each workshop with a robust analytical support system—ready to tackle even the most challenging paint-related defects more swiftly and effectively. Over the three-day period from September 16 to 18, we not only completed comprehensive assessments and reviews of each offline PDCS team but also offered an objective, third-party perspective, pinpointing areas for improvement and suggesting actionable solutions directly at Tianjin Factory’s paint workshop. These efforts were warmly acknowledged and highly praised by the leadership of Tianjin Factory’s paint department.
Technological innovation capability is a crucial benchmark for the future growth of enterprises. Taking this laboratory as our starting point, we aim to rapidly enhance ADT’s technological innovation prowess, foster a spirit of innovation, and attract innovative talent. Ultimately, we hope to establish multiple innovation labs across workshops in various systems nationwide, enabling these labs to serve as hubs that drive innovation across projects in both northern and southern regions—creating a thriving network of innovation wherever we go.
