At 10:30 AM on October 27, 2022, ADT's Corporate Management Department organized a one-hour tabletop drill for employees from various functional departments in the company's headquarters conference room. This drill aimed to strengthen fire safety awareness among all headquarters staff, enhance their ability to avoid, prevent, and mitigate accidents, and improve their understanding of the emergency response plan. It also tested the response speed and organizational coordination capabilities of all relevant departments, as well as the coordinated response and practical capabilities of the emergency response team. The drill also verified the rationality, practicality, usability, and reliability of the company's emergency response plan. In the event of an accident, emergency response measures could be implemented swiftly, orderly, and efficiently to minimize casualties, property damage, and negative environmental impacts, thereby ensuring the company's sustainable and safe development. The drill simulated the following: A fire occurred in the Finance Department's outdoor lighting system, caused by aging wiring and a failed residual current circuit breaker (RCD), leading to an electrical fire. The drill involved implementing the emergency response plan, including incident reporting, evacuation, firefighting, emergency medical care, and logistical support.
This training focused on the topic of electrical fire accidents, explaining and analyzing simulated scenarios. Through tabletop exercises and interactive discussions, we gained a clear understanding of the emergency plan's scope, process, and approach, as well as the use of emergency rescue equipment and methods, and particularly the responsibilities and division of labor of the four emergency response teams. The tabletop exercises familiarized all staff with fire escape routes and taught them relevant safety precautions, enabling them to remain calm and proactively respond to emergencies, thereby achieving the goal of self-protection. The tabletop exercises further strengthened the safety awareness of headquarters staff, enabling them to fully grasp emergency rescue knowledge, clearly understand their responsibilities and mission, and properly organize and handle various emergencies. We must integrate safety into our daily work, keep our guard up, and uphold the company's core principle of "safe development"!
