ADT is taking action to combat the epidemic and ensure resumption of work

The 2020 Spring Festival shattered our usual joy and peace. People across the country were daily preoccupied with a unique piece of news: the novel coronavirus! Its emergence was silent, yet its spread was remarkably rapid! In this crucial moment, the ADT FAW-Volkswagen Tianjin Plant's Paint Project Department immediately took action, rushing to the front lines of the paint shop's reopening efforts, volunteering to fight this silent war to the bitter end.

During this critical period, the ADT FAW-Volkswagen Tianjin Plant's Paint Project Department, in accordance with company regulations, quickly activated the project's emergency leadership team. To address FAW-Volkswagen Tianjin Plant's customer's request to resume work on February 20th, a project epidemic prevention team was immediately established, developing a project-level "Emergency Plan for Epidemic Prevention and Control," and focusing on a series of tasks, including the provision of epidemic prevention supplies, ensuring employee return to work, employee training, and ensuring a safe and orderly resumption of work amidst the pandemic.

The ADT Tianjin project team is a team that can be relied upon and win battles. Under the personal deployment of Project Manager Lu, the epidemic prevention materials needed for the project (disposable masks, disinfectants, etc.) were prepared in place as quickly as possible, and a special storage point for epidemic prevention materials was set up on site. Ensuring the return of employees to work is a thorny issue for the project department. During the Spring Festival holiday, the project manager began to organize management personnel to carefully sort out the travel and physical conditions of each team member during the epidemic, and report to the company headquarters in a timely manner. With the support of the company, a series of supporting documents for returning to work were provided to the returning employees of the project at the first opportunity. Finally, with the strong response of the team leaders, on February 20, 40 of the most beautiful retrograde employees of our project emerged, "coming up whenever needed."

Safe and orderly resumption of work amid the pandemic is the project department's top priority at this stage. During this period, the project department established five 100% principles: 100% implementation of training, 100% mask wearing, 100% three-time temperature checks, 100% two-time disinfection, and 100% safe distance maintenance. As the client's single-shift, single-line production ramped up from February 20th to 28th, every on-duty staff member in the project department maintained a state of alert, thoroughly cleaning and disinfecting the workshop and office area. Dedicated personnel were also assigned to measure the temperature of everyone entering the workshop three times daily. Project department management focused on daily review and implementation of the "1.5-meter safe working distance" requirement. As the client's workshop capacity increased, "saving time, increasing speed, and ensuring quality" became the shared goal of all project department staff. The project department's staff gradually increased to 65, and then to 75 in mid-March, meeting the needs of the workshop's full-scale single-shift, dual-line production, which began on March 2nd. After the workshop resumed production, the project department established "four regulations" for dining to minimize gatherings and ensure employees could eat and change clothes without leaving the workshop. These regulations stipulated designated personnel, designated locations, and designated staff. Daily pre- and post-shift meetings also included epidemic prevention training and safe work practices as a regular component of each training session. The project department also made time for emergency drills for employees and produced a video to educate them on the safety of their operations.

As production capacity at the Tianjin Volkswagen customer gradually recovers, the effectiveness of the ADT Tianjin project team continues to excel. Adhering to the belief that "unity can overcome all," every member of the team remains at the forefront of the resumption of work and epidemic prevention efforts. Faced with the epidemic, they remain calm, composed, and resolute. Scientific prevention and control, united as one. There is no mountain that cannot be climbed.
